Wild Ewes Woolery Newsletter -- December 4, 2020
Seasonings Greetings, stitchers!
We hope you all had a safe and peaceful Thanksgiving last week. Our celebration was small and quiet, but that also made it low stress.
Happy National Sock Day! We are celebrating by extending our sock yarn sale for another week. Viking and Online brands still are $5.00 per skein and other commercial sock yarns are 10% off. How are you celebrating? I enjoyed making my first pair and my husband most definitely enjoys wearing them. My second pair is for me. They are colorful and the stripes are mismatched, so they're fun! I am knitting two-at-a-time, toe-up with a short-row mini-gusset heel. There are so many options to customize your socks! Some of our favorites: Lace and Vine Socks by Karen Juliano (toe-up), Hell Gate by Deborah Breland (top down), and Get Well Soon Socks by Janelle Wood (toe up).
We finished up our Gathering Acorns Knit-A-Long (KAL) and are waiting for photos from the participants so we can share their beautiful work! We are working again with Jennifer Granger Tipton for our next KAL, which will be a beaded shawl! Will that be a new skill for you?
As all of the markers are on the rise in our state, stay safe out there!
Thanks for being part of our flock, we'll keep you in stitches!
